Cate is a passionate storyteller, building entire worlds through costumes. Her medium is color, texture, fabric, and line. Where no detail is spared. And each costume, the perfect outward expression of inward character.
Cate is an Emmy award-winning and CDGA nominated Costume Designer. She completed formal training in Fashion and Costume Design in her native Britain and has gone on to design feature films, streaming, television, ballet, and theatre.
Among her many credits are Disney’s The Mysterious Benedict Society, for which she won an Emmy. And HBO’s Perry Mason (Season 2), for which she received a Emmy nomination. Most recently, Cate completed Joseph of Egypt, a limited series for Amazon Prime as well Disney’s internationally acclaimed Percy Jackson and the Olypians (Season 2). Additional projects include The Man in the High Castle (Seasons 3 & 4), The Son (Season 1), and ABC’s iconic Desperate Housewives, for which she was honored with multiple Emmy and CDGA nominations.
Cate holds British, American, and Irish passports. And has worked in Vancouver, Dublin, Rome, Nice, Monte Carlo as well as multiple cities across the U.S. When not on location, she calls Los Angeles home.
Cate has served as Vice President of the Costume Designers Guild and is currently on their Executive Board.
